love the bright orange color! how is everyone's summer so far? i can't believe it's september already. this year is flying by...

it's actually a little while back but this was our first eggplant from the veggie garden. there's just tons of eggplant growing one after another and i can't keep up on eating them since d+k don't eat them :(

ちょっと前になりますが家のベジタブルガーデンで初めて出来た日本の長ナス。この後はもうナスがなり放題で（ダニエルとカイは食べないので）食べきるのに困っているので最近はお友達にあげたりしています。

walking around the neighborhood, it's been a nice, mild summer. but i guess it's gonna be the hottest day so far and gonna be 108 F. not looking forward to that :P

近所をぶらり。最近までずっとく過ごしやすい夏の天気だったけど、いよいよ明日の天気予報はなんと４２度！！！外出しないで家の中のクーラーで過ごす予定です。＾＾；

we used baja citrus marinade packet and grilled it on the bbq.

バハ　シトラスというマリネードを使ってエビに味付けしてガスBBQで焼きました。ブリトーの中身はキャベツ、サワークリーム、トマト、サルサ、アボカド、パクチーとライムでトルティーアでくるりと巻いて食べました。

it's a boy, again! i know it's hard to see but inside was blue filling. kai was too busy licking the cream cheese frosting ;)

ちょっと見にくいですが中身のクリームはブルーでした。カイは一生懸命上のクリームチーズフロスティングを舐めてました。笑

we had a "pink or blue" party last month (yes, i've been really lazy about posting this one :P). we really loved the idea of doing this from looking at andrea's blog, thank you andrea!

先月「ピンク　オア　ブルー」パーティーをしました。（かなりサボっていてやっとアップしました、汗） 私の友達のアンドリアがブログで同じようなパーティーをやったのでやろうと決めました。

we actually found out if our second child was boy or girl last month. we went to the doctor and had my doctor write the result down + put the ultrasound picture in a sealed envelope. then we gave the envelope to our friend who was baking cupcakes, so she can put either blue or pink filling inside. she was the only person knew if we are having a boy or girl before anyone else, yes, even us! my doctor's appointment was monday and this party was saturday, it was such a looooong 5 days not knowing when we could've known!

先月、うちの二人目の子供が男の子か女の子かをみんなで知るというパーティーをしました。お医者さんにいって、性別を紙に書いてもらい、超音波の写真と一緒に封筒に入れてもらいました。その結果を私たちは見ないで（すごく見たかったんだけど...）カップケーキを焼いてくれる友達に渡し、その子がカップケーキの中身のクリームの色をブルー(男）がピンク（女）にしてくれるという事です。お医者さんにいったのは月曜日、このパーティーは土曜日、性別の結果を知るまでの５日間は長かった〜　笑

ゲストの皆さんには予想して「ピンクかブルー」のカードを書いてもらいました。

of course, kai filled it out too...upside down ;P

もちろん、カイも逆さ？でカードを書いてくれました。笑

made ginger beef rice burger for dinner. we marinated the meat in ginger, soy sauce, yakiniku (korean bbq) sauce and bbq-ed and put them in the rice patty i made. yum!　daniel is part of BBQ Wars and you can vote for this burger or your favorite burger here.
