so we went to the zoo today 'cuz it was Flir company picninc! but we went there a bit early to go look at animals. it was cool but lame at the same time, many monkeys and tigars were all sleeping so we didn't really get to see them... my fav pic is two zibras passed out, takin a nap! we like the elephants and sea otters, they were so cute. penguins, man peu-wee, the cave thing you have to go in was soooo stinky! they need plug-in air fresher!!

found some cute dog tanks on the internet, i think they are sooo funny! i should definetely get one for deedee or maybe vanessa can knit one for her ;)

Oh the man tools, I felt like Tim Taylor from Tool Time.

Here are the raw pieces (we are missing a few) but we ended up buying...

Sheet metal (2'x4') (that we had to brush to make it look cool)
Plexiglass (2'x4')
Wood for the legs (8'x2"x2") (cut into four 21"x2"x2")
Wood to add stability and reduce the sag in the middle (2'x4') ( it's hidden)
3 Aluminum L-Bar to make the sides look pretty (4'L) (cut one in half)
8 L-brackets to fix the leg stability issue (2")
4 screws (10x1 1/4")
36 screws (10x5/8") (for the L-bracket mounting)

Daniel in action. We had to sand all the wood and brush all the aluminum.

Maggie in action. We had to clear coat the wood and metal pieces to prevent rust and decay.

Here it is almost complete (we overlooked the stability issue).

We went back to the hardware store to get some much needed pieces, so here it is with a little more support ;) (had to pick up the short sides' L-Bar, 2'x4' plywood, L-Brackets, + short screws.
