plants

_DSC1539.jpg

daniel brought home some veggie plants he got for free at work. one of it says "burpless cucumbers" which i never heard of (hope it will be good...) but the other one is a complete mystery. he says it's some kind of pepper plant but i don't know about that... does anyone know what plant that is?

don't know what that mystery plant is. but i looked it up and "burpless" is just the marketing term for oriental trellis cucumbers sold in U.S. I guess they have milder taste and easier on digestion then American type.

I never had cucumbers make me burp, so this is strange to me.

thanks for looking up "burpless," you know, it all make sense now that those cucumbers are oriental cuz i just looked at the little tag, and at the bottom it says "grown by kawahara nurseries inc." that's a very japanese last name, so those cucumbers must be japanese?

I'll ask my Landscape Architecture parents to be sure, but I agree with Daniel that you have some kind of a pepper there! It'll be kind of a fun surprise to plant it and see what happens!

i'm sure your parents will know :) i asked my mom and she thinks its some kind of pepper too. ya, it is kind of exciting to see what's gonna grow but too bad daniel doesn't really like peppers, so i'll be eating them all by myself :o
